Our hero, John, was born on the colony world of Eridanus II on 2511. He was a boy who was heroic, and never seemed to do any bad. At the age of six John and 74 others were kidnapped from their homes, and replaced by flash clones who would later die. After John's training, and becoming a Spartan in the UNSC forces Doctor Catherine Halsey lets her A.I., which was modeled after her, decide who to join. The A.I. Cortana decides that she will follow John after deciding that he has very good luck. Cortana and John are paired together, and each are told that it is their job to protect each other. The "adventure" starts aboard The Pillar Of Autumn. The Chief is awoken from cryo sleep when the Covenant, an alien race at war with the humans for years, boards the ship, and attempts to take it over. As The Chief makes his way around the ship killing aliens, and lives he is eventually forced to leave the ship via escape pod. He later lands on Halo installation 04. He must make his way to discover the truth about the Halo Installations, and destroy them all before the Covenant can activate them. As The Master Chief fights alongside his allies and friends he encounters many new deadly enemies. The first are the Covenant, a race of intelligent aliens who are on a great journey to light the rings, not knowing what they do. Second are the Flood, a parasite that kills with extreme brutality, and takes over the corpse to have it as their own body. The parasite can eventually grow to a critical mass where it then becomes The Grave mind. Third is the Didact. This ancient alien is only concerned of rebuilding his army after thousands of years of being locked away. The only way to create his army, however, is to compose humans into ash, and rebuild them into his promethean army. Most recently, and the most heart breaking is the death of his A.I. companion Cortana. After 8 years in service Cortana is becoming rampant, and can no longer control her self. In a last effort to help The Chief to stop the Didact she infects his shields systems. only to be destroyed shortly after. In his first four years in service he gains a very important ally known as The Arbiter. He is one of the few Covenant who knows the true purpose of the Halo rings and agrees to help The Chief stop the prophets from lighting the rings, and destroying all life on earth. The series still hasn't reached the end, but there have many final battles. The Chief has fought the Didact, and won only from the aid of Cortana's remains. He had destroyed 343 Guilty spark and lit the ring to finally end the flood, and he has Killed The Prophet of Regret and The Prophet of Truth. Most recently. After the death of Cortana, destruction of New Pheonix The Chief is onboard the UNSC Infinity. John is last seen having his armor taken off (presumably to be replaced). However, he his later seen facing a large Forerunner construct. All the Chief has left after his encounters and battles all he has left is an empty data chip.

In 2009 Infinity Ward released a sequel to their hit game Modern Warfare. This was Modern Warfare 2, this game was is set in 2016. You play as three different characters, John "soap" McTavish, Joseph Allan, "Roach", and James Rameriez. You start the game a Allan in fire base Phoenix in Afghanistan. There you learn how to play the game. After training you head off into an afghan city to combat the terrorist forces. After that mission you return to Soap and the new SAS member Gary "Roach" Sanderson. On this mission you go into a Russian airfield to find and recover a U.S. satellite that crashed there. Roach is later reassigned to the cia going undercover to bring down Russian ultra nationalist Vladimir Makaov.
The game takes many turns for the better and worse and has the biggest twist that will make you hate half of the characters. So go out there and play the game that set records and started every annoying internet trend ever.
In 2007 a game came out that would change the gaming industry, and shooters forever. During the time many shooter based games were based off history, and were all the same, until COD Modern Warfare cam out. This game takes place in 2011, war breaks out after an extriemist exicutes a president of an unknown country. While this happens an ultra-nationalist movement in russia sparks civil war. You play as two characers. One of which is a U.S. Marine in the middle east, and the other as an SAS commando stopping nuclear warheads from being shipped to russian forces. One of the most heartbreaking and intense moments in the game is when the U.S. Marine soilders are attempting to escape a town just as a nuclear bomb is set off. As the explosion rises you see fellow soilders falling and helicopters and tanks be obliterates, until the blast catches up. The helicopter you're in loses control, and you are the only survivor dying of radiation. The rest of the story blends in with the SAS soilders, and thats your job to find out what happens in the end. I reccomend this game for everyone. It has easy to use controls, a sort of simple storyline, and character connectons rivaled only by those of Mass Effect and Halo.

During the summer a blockbuster game came out by the name of Titanfall. This game was revolutionary, it allowed the player to wall run and platform like never before in an FPS. Titanfall was unique in another way. It got boring incredibly fast, you'd play for an hour or so and it get boring but recently a new game mode was added: Frontier defense. This game mode has you defending a harvesting tower from increasingly difficult waved of IMC grunts, specters, and Titans. There are many enemy variants... sorta. There are regular Specters, Sniper Specters which cloak themselves and well snipe things. There are Suicide Specters which swarm the harvester and blowup dealing massive damage. Titans also have some variants. There is the regular Titan which comes in three classes The Ogre has thick armor which comes at the expense of speed. The Stryder is the complete opposite of the Ogre, this Titan moves fast and evades almost every missile shot at them. Right in between them is the Atlas. This Titan balances armor and speed making it (in my opinion) the best Titan. All these enemies also have variants of themselves, Nuke Titans will cause a nuclear explosion killing everything near it, these Titans only drop in as Ogres making them slow but hard to kill. Ark Titans have an electric field that disables shields and any electronics it gets near however these Titans only drop in as Stryders. So if you have Titanfall try this game mode out and you will be challenged to your multitasking limits.
Ok now we're on the next game in the Need for Speed series:Carbon. Carbon takes place months after Most Wanted. You escaped the cops and are now on the run, so you go to the next place you know best. You start the game in your M3 GTR on the of the canyons, but suddenly your old enemy Cross shows up to take you down. You speed down the canyon in hopes to get away, only to have your car totaled. Cross catches up, but one of your old friends bails you out and gets you a new ride.Flashback several years back, you're about to start a race to decide who owns the city and everything is going fine until you reach the finish line. The police had set up a trap and all the other racers are stopped except for you. You take the prize money and leave the city only to return years later. Once you get a new car your new crew mate explains that since you left things have changed and that the town is ruled by three crews. Those crews are the TFK, Bushido, and 21st street. The car you select decides what area you start in. Choosing an exotic will start you off in TFK territory, muscle puts you off in 21st street territory, and tuner is set off in Bushido grounds. Taking over a territory will result in the leader coming out to settle who get the ground. Win a couple of races and head over to the canyons where speed isn't the only thing you need. On the canyon there is nothing separating you from certain death as you race knowing that one false move will end it all.
The game runs the same physics engine as Most Wanted with some minor upgrades allowing different class car handle differently. Cops are the same except this time around the spike strips don't instantly take you out. Lastly are the upgrades. You can now tune your car to have more horsepower or more torque, more grip or more slide, or more speedo or more acceleration. You can also modify each individual part of the car instead of having a set body kit. You can edit how big certain parts of the bumper are, edit air scoop placement, and even spoiler size.
So once again, get out there and take back the city to prove you are the ultimate racer.

Yes this is another GTA post but I have nothing else to post so deal with it.
I enjoy many games. Racing, shooters, adventure, and even platformers are my favorite of them all and within those genres are my favorite games. My most favorite game ever is GTA 5 for three reasons. One, it has more story. With three protagonists who each act differently but manage to get along, the story is full of complications, adventures, and loads of "accidents". Reason two, open world. Most open world games I play aren't very open, but in GTA you can venture to every mountain top, every alley way, and now the darkest depths of Los Santos. Reason three, no DLC. GTA is a series which likes to keep gameplay fair. By doing this they have essentially lost money fixing glitches and thats why they have made money so hard to earn. In the realm of GTA what Downloadable content you have does not dictate your power, but rather the amount of time you spend on the game does. No player is above the other, and the only way you can get to the top is either by hard work, or through your wallet.
So for those who don't have Destiny I'm about to tell you everything you need to know about the single most annoying enemies in the game, the Vex. The Vex are a series of time traveling robots. If that's not enough for you they can also teleport to your location and kill you in basically one hit. The vex are also extremely annoying because of two of their classes. The Minotaur and the Hobgoblin.
The Minotaur is a heavy unit with no critical spot and shields only vulnerable to arc damage. If that's not enough you'll have to be at least level 15 to actually kill one. If you get close the Minotaur will teleport to you'r location and melee you either killing you instantly or taking out 75ish% of your health. Armed with a high damage low velocity explosive rifle they do tons of damage. Hobgoblins, as depicted above, are more long range enemies. They are armed with a high velocity high damage they can kill you in one hit, and when shot they will activate a momentary shield that makes them resistant to everything.
Harpies are a flying enemy that will attack when you get close enough. They will open their sides and start shooting you with three separate guns dealing low amounts of damage quickly. Finally we reach the Goblins which are the lowest class and the easiest to kill because they have no shields and have very low power weapons. The only reason that they should be able to kill you is because there were too many .
Destiny is a complex game and these are the enemies worth fearing because they can do so much, so get out there and kick some robot butt.
The rush of oncoming traffic and sheer speed as you race in a do or die situation. The world of Need for Speed is vast and has an interesting story, but lets go back 9 years to one of the original games. Need for Speed Most Wanted is an open world racing game that takes place in the fictional city of Rockport. You play as an unnamed racer who enters the city in your BMW M3 GTR. Your first race is against a soon to be ally. A few races later and your up against Blacklist member 15 'Razor'. You race him in a do or die race to keep your car, but your car later breaks down because somebody cut the oil line... stupid cheaters. You lose your car and are left with nothing but the realization that you need to start from the bottom. You purchase a car that will only do 120mph and set off taking back the city, and your car. You slowly climb your way up the Blacklist 15 beating the members get to Razor, however the biggest worry isn't the racers... it's the cops. While in free-roam you will encounter the police and engage in a car chase. The longer you remain in a chase the higher your heat gets, when your heat gets high enough you'll go into a condition two chase, then three, then four. There is one officer who is after you and his name is Cross. He'll do whatever it takes to take you down, but as long as you keep driving he wont get you. As you race you earn money from races you can upgrade your car or purchase new ones to get higher on the list. Performance parts are key to winning as stock parts won't get you very far or go very fast. Nitro is your ultimate key to top speed, when activated you get a powerful but short boost allowing you achieve higher speeds.
That's all you need to know about the streets of Rock port and the way the cars work so go out there and get racing.
Just me here... nobody else ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
