October 6, 2014
On October 10, 2010 a show aired on the Hub Network, but something happened when it did. My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic is reboot of the old 1992 show My Little Pony only this time the show has better animation, story, is less "girly", and is something that I can actually enjoy. The show had been revived by writer Lauren Faust who worked on other shows from my childhood like Fosters Home For Imaginary Kids, Code-name Kids Next Door, and The Power Puff Girls. My Little Pony (MLP) had been intended for six year old girls, but something had happened. Along the path to being a show, men had started watching the show. This small group of people were called Bronies a combination of the word bro and ponies.
Society treats Bronies like outcasts and to be honest we sometimes are. Yeah sure we like a kids show whats so bad about that, I mean you probably still like a kids show so why can't they just watch one. Maybe MLP is the only thing that they find enjoyment in, or maybe they just like the show because it's a show. All I know is that my family personally has been "torn apart" because one of my anus cousins decided to make a big deal out of me watching a show.
